Derrick's Handbook of Petroleum, v. 2 (Oil City: Derrick Publishing, 1899) P. C. Boyle came to the oil fields as a young Union Army veteran. He became a journalist and historian publishing the first volume of the Derrick's Handbook in 1898. This volume highlights Frontier Development, continues the Oil Region Chronology begun in the first volume and brings the description of the markets, pipelines, oil fields of PA, Indiana and Ohio to 1899. He also provides an Evolution of the Oil Lease, a description of the Russian Petroleum Trade and a complete chronology of the Bradford field. |
