Oil Boom Architecture: Titusville, Pithole and Petroleum Center by William B. Moore and Joshua F. Sherretts (Arcadia Publishing, 2008)

Following the drilling of the first oil well in 1859, Titusville exploded into a bustling city. Nearby cities of Petroleum Center and Pithole developed at significant oil production sites. Using vintage images, this book documents the rich architectural history of these towns
