Volunteering gives you a chance to learn more about petroleum heritage and share your knowledge with others.
There are as many reasons to volunteer as there are people who do but whatever motivates you, your decision to volunteer benefits everyone involved.
At Drake Well, there are once-a-week and once-in-a-while volunteer opportunities available. Choose what interest you and is best for you and your time schedule.
The following list is some of the ways you can help at the museum:
• Guiding School Tours
• Special Event Helpers
• Helper at Pithole
• Carpentry and Construction
• Groundskeeper
• Museum Store
• Gardener
Beginning in May, Drake Well Museum is bustling with school tours from around the area. If you are interested in becoming a tour guide and working with youth from kindergarten – twelfth grade, call Dan Weaver, Museum Educator, at (814) 827-2799 Ext. 104.
High quality museum events and tours wouldn't be possible without help from our volunteers - Please be one!
