August 31, 2020 UPDATE
The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission is delaying the reopening of state-owned historic sites and museums, including Drake Well Museum and Park, until further notice. With COVID-19 cases increasing across the country, we need to take every precaution possible to prevent a surge here in Pennsylvania. The safety and well-being of our visitors, volunteers and staff is Drake Well Museum's highest priority. Please watch our website and social media for important updates.
May 12, 2020 UPDATE
Drake Well Museum and Park, a property of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC), remains closed to the public until the Green Phase in accordance with Governor Wolf's Process to Reopen Pennsylvania plan.
The public is welcome to access the museum's grounds for pedestrian recreation. However, all facilities remain closed, including parking lots, pavilions, restrooms and exterior exhibit areas. For those using our site recreationally, all site rules and regulations apply along with CDC and DOH guidelines regarding masking and social distancing, and gatherings are prohibited.
May 8, 2020 UPDATE
The safety and well-being of our visitors, volunteers and staff is the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission’s highest priority. We are closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as it evolves in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
Due to the Governor’s orders regarding COVID-19, Drake Well Museum and Park is closed until further notice. During this time, visitation to the site is suspended. PHMC staff continues to work remotely and will respond inquiries received via voice mail and email as soon as possible.
Due to the COVIV-19 Pandemic, the Keystone Summer Internship Program has been suspended until further notice.
