THE PENNSYLVANIA HISTORICAL & MUSEUM COMMISSION RESPONDS TO COVID-19

March 30, 2020 UPDATE

The safety and well-being of our visitors, volunteers and staff is the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission’s highest priority. We are closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as it evolves in Pennsylvania and elsewhere. 

Due to the Governor’s order regarding COVID-19, the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum offices throughout the State continue to be closed through Thursday, April 30, 2020. During this time, visitation at all sites is suspended. PHMC staff continues to work remotely and will respond inquiries received via voice mail and email as soon as possible.

Due to the COVIV-19 Pandemic, the Keystone Summer Internship Program has been suspended until further notice.

Drake Well Museum and Park

Drake Well Museum and Park, a Museum & Historic Site owned and administered by the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC), will follow the directives outlined above. Unfortunately, this means that the site is closed to all visitors during the months of March and April. In addition group events, tours and facility rentals are cancelled through the end of April. The Museum can be reached during regular business hours by calling 814-827-2797.
